About SMDF

Welcome to the Swedish Society for Research in Mathematics Education (SMDF)

The Swedish Society for Research in Mathematics Education (SMDF) aims to strengthen the development and quality of mathematics education research in Sweden, as well as its importance for mathematics education at all levels.

SMDF serves as a meeting place for everyone interested in mathematics education research through conferences, seminars, newsletters, annual meetings, and this website.

The association was founded in 1999 and is run on a non-profit basis by its board and members. Membership is open to all, but primarily targets researchers, doctoral students, and others with an interest in mathematics education research.

Our members are the core of SMDF, and spreading information about the association and increasing membership is essential for the future.
