His research interest is mathematics teachers\u2019 interactive strategies, digital tools in mathematics teaching, as well as designing teaching in close collaboration with practice. Another large part of Andreas\u2019 working time is devoted to supervising degree projects within the teacher education programmes and to teaching prospective and practicing teachers in mathematics education and programming didactics.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1572\" src=\"http:\/\/matematikdidaktik.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/ACE_7940-Webstorlek-e1651783089306-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Malin Norberg, vice chair, deputy member and secretary, (<a href=\"mailto:malin.norberg@umu.se\">malin.norberg@umu.se<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Malin is a senior lecturer in mathematics education at Ume\u00e5 University. She completed her PhD in 2020 at Mid Sweden University. Her research interest concerns communication and language with a particular interest in the different forms of expression in mathematics (such as language, symbols, images and animations), young students\u2019 learning in mathematics and multilingualism. Malin is currently working in a ULF project with the aim of clarifying how the design of teaching materials can support students\u2019 learning of mathematical concepts, and also teaches within teacher education programmes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1579\" src=\"http:\/\/matematikdidaktik.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Olov-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"http:\/\/matematikdidaktik.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Olov-150x150.png 150w, http:\/\/matematikdidaktik.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Olov-300x300.png 300w, http:\/\/matematikdidaktik.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Olov.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Olov Viirman, board member and treasurer, (<a href=\"mailto:olov.viirman@edu.uu.se\">olov.viirman@edu.uu.se<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Olov is a senior lecturer in mathematics education at Uppsala University. He completed his PhD in 2014 with a dissertation on how university teachers in mathematics teach the concept of function. His main research interest continues to be mathematics teaching and learning at university level, but also subject teacher education in mathematics, for example how prospective upper secondary teachers are prepared to teach differential and integral calculus. He mainly teaches within the upper secondary teacher education program where he is course coordinator for several courses, both in mathematics education and in scientific theory and method, but he also supervises independent projects within the primary teacher education program.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2193\" src=\"http:\/\/matematikdidaktik.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/UR-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"http:\/\/matematikdidaktik.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/UR-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/matematikdidaktik.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/UR.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Ulrika Ryan, board member and responsible for the SMDF newsletter, (<a href=\"mailto:ulrika.ryan@mau.se\">ulrika.ryan@mau.se<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Ulrika Ryan is a senior lecturer in mathematics education at Malm\u00f6 University. In 2019 she completed her PhD with the dissertation Mathematics classroom talk in a migrating world \u2013 synthesizing epistemological dimensions. Her research mainly focuses on issues concerning mathematics education and migration. Ulrika is a member of the research centre Disciplinary literacy and inclusive teaching and the research centre Malm\u00f6 Institute for Migration Studies at Malm\u00f6 University within the framework of which she runs various research projects. Ulrika teaches prospective mathematics teachers in various courses, supervises degree projects and doctoral students, among others within the graduate school RelMaS, and is research coordinator at her department.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1710\" src=\"http:\/\/matematikdidaktik.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Skarmavbild-2023-03-01-kl.-18.54.56-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Jorryt van Bommel, board member and responsible for the SMDF newsletter, (<a href=\"mailto:jorryt.vanbommel@kau.se\">jorryt.vanbommel@kau.se<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Jorryt van Bommel is an associate professor in mathematics education at Karlstad University as well as visiting professor at Dalarna University and Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences in Norway. For twenty-five years she has worked in teacher education at Karlstad University, but has also worked as a teacher in Sweden, the Netherlands and Namibia. In terms of research, Jorryt mainly works with a professional development and research project \u2018problem solving in preschool class\u2019, where teaching of mathematics in preschool class is in focus. She also participates in a research project \u2018Teachers and Influencer\u2019 where they investigate how online material such as YouTube affects teaching and the profession more generally.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2185\" src=\"http:\/\/matematikdidaktik.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/foto_magnus_fahlstrom_beskuren-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Magnus Fahlstr\u00f6m, deputy member and responsible for the website, (<a href=\"mailto:mfh@du.se\">mfh@du.se<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Magnus is a university lecturer in mathematics education at Dalarna University. His research interest concerns the importance of the physical environment for teaching and especially for teaching in mathematics. Magnus teaches prospective and practicing teachers from preschool class up to upper secondary school in mathematics, mathematics education as well as programming. Magnus is also a supervisor for degree projects in various teacher education programmes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2202\" src=\"http:\/\/matematikdidaktik.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_3633-150x150.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Kicki Skog, board member and responsible for the website, (<a href=\"mailto:kicki.skog@su.se\">kicki.skog@su.se<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Kicki is a senior lecturer in mathematics education at Stockholm University. She completed her PhD in 2014 with the dissertation Power, positions and mathematics \u2013 discursive practices in mathematics teacher education. She has worked with teacher education since 2002 and is responsible for the primary teacher education programme grades 4\u20136. Her research is mainly focused on mathematics teacher education and issues of equity and accessibility in mathematics teaching.
